Since society is clearly fascinated with the numerical smoothness of the No. 10, some will get a little thrill on Sunday, Oct. 10, 2010 -- or 10-10-10. The combination occurs once every 100 years.
To carry it a few digits further, twice on Sunday it will be 10-10-10-10-10, that's 10 minutes after 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. Some believe that because of the rarity of the numerical sequence, 10-10-10 is a lucky day. Others think the opposite.
Of course, Christopher Butler, a math instructor at Case Western Reserve University, just smiles when people ascribe significance to a particular date.
"It's all so arbitrary," he said.
The date is in its essence just a representation of time based on when someone began counting. And the way we count is subject to change.
"Don't get me started on leap years," he said.
If you follow the Hebrew calendar, Sunday is just another day: the 2nd of Cheshvan, 5771.
But most of the world, including the U.S. government, operates on the Gregorian calendar. So, this Sunday is a perfect 10.

Numbers have special significance in the Bible.
The Numbers in the Scriptures!(Do they Carry any Spiritual Significance?)
by Tony Warren
There are many Christians who think that when God put numbers in the Bible there was no spiritual significance to it, and neither should we apply any meaning to it other than the number itself. But even if we were to look at this issue superficially, we can readily see that there is some method and certain numerical symbology to the use of numbers in scripture. The consistency in their signification in certain situations testifies to this. There is most certainly a great Spiritual defining in the application of many of these numbers. We are often inclined to underestimate God and what He has planted within His Holy Word. There is far more in the scriptures than can be understood in one man's lifetime, and we can only glean the surface of this storehouse of information. For we see through a glass dimly and know only in part. In this brief study we will look at some of the numbers that carry spiritual or symbolical significance, and examine many of the passages where they are found. Our hope is that this study might help you discern some of the truths which God has ordained that these numbers should illustrate
Meaning of Numbers in the Bible
Number Ten(10)
Previous Number - Next Number
The Number Ten
It has been already pointed out that ten is one of the perfect numbers, and signifies the perfection of Divine order, commencing, as it does, an altogether new series of numbers. The first decade is the representative of the whole numeral system, and originates the system of calculation called "decimals," because the whole system of numeration consists of so many tens, of which the first is a type of the whole.
Completeness of order, marking the entire round of anything, is, therefore, the ever-present signification of the number ten. It implies that nothing is wanting; that the number and order are perfect; that the whole cycle is complete.
The Ten Commandments
The Ten Commandments contain all that is necessary, and no more than is necessary, both as to their number and their order, while the Lord's prayer is complete in ten clauses.
The Lord's Prayer
The Lord's prayer is completed in ten clauses. *
* These clauses have the significance of their respective numbers:—
The first, God's sovereignty.
The second, Jehovah's manifested Name.
The third, the realization of God's kingdom.
The fourth first mentions the earth.
The fifth, the gift of grace supplying our need.
The sixth treats of man's sin.
The seventh pleads for spiritual guidance.
The eighth pleads for final deliverance from all evil.
The ninth sums up the divine glory (32), while
The tenth completes the eternal cycles.

Let us put our trust in God who made the starry hosts and appoints times , seasons and dates. The centuries roll from the tips of His fingers. A thousand years is like a day in the Lord 's sight.
26 Lift your eyes and look to the heavens: Who created all these? He who brings out the starry host one by one, and calls them each by name. Because of his great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missing. (Isaiah 40 - Old Testament , Bible)
Psalm 118:24This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. (Bible)
So rejoice on 10/10/10
